There are several factors that can influence the test results scores of an IQ test.
For instance, Mozart's music has proven helpful as far as aiding higher scores but its results are only temporary, lasting about 15 seconds.
On the other hand, there are also physiological changes that can have the opposite effect. Anything that alters the chemicals in the brain and throws it out of sync, can cause permanent and irreversible damage. From slight to moderate changes that occur from taking drugs that kill neuro-transmitters to becoming brain dead or worse. These changes then again, can vary from person to person but are more likely to be permanent than not.
