I wore a simple nice black dress with heels. Nice enough for graduation, and I didn't have to change for the after party.

Something nice that doesn't conflict with the gown. Make it cool because those gowns can get hot on a hot day or in an enclosed, non-air conditioned space. Some even wear shorts but that's a little disrespectful to the event. Congratulations!

I wore a simple dress with heels but not too high heels. It's nice but not too extravagant.
