It's fine now that he is two. I let my daughter use a pillow at 18 months, and she's almost 3 and there has been no problems. They say that around 18 months their body is developed enough for them to know if they have a hard time breathing, and they would wake up if it were happening. Before that though, they wouldn't wake up.

My son was 18 months when I gave him a pillow. The biggest concern is if they are strong enough to turn their head if they get stuck face down etc, for smothering reasons. I would say that your son is just fine. I got my son a very flat pillow to start. God Bless

It's okay for him now that he's 2. Up to about a year old, letting babies sleep with pillows is a big suffocation risk. But he's old enough now.

I would say that 2 would be fine. Is he asking for a pillow? If he is then I'd give it to him.
