There is no exact point, but somewhere between WW2 and Vietnam. Just look at the public outrage of the 2 wars. From one extreme to another.

And the public has not publically backed a war since. Even the 91-92 Gulf War. Bush supposedly had the highest approval rating of any president in history after that war, but he loses the election to an un known governor named Clinton.

The republicans threw Clinton up there because they thought they were going to lose, to their amazement, they won. Anyway, between lawyers, judges,. and media, they all are guilty of self destructing what made this country great.

Late 1950's to the early 1960-s. People threw God, the Bible, prayer out of the governmet and schools - claiming separation of church and state - and our Constitution is supoosed to protect us from this. Look at our crime and other miscellaneous stats:
our prison population has increased 110% in the last thirty years.
Abortion has taken the lives of almost 50 million babies, citing the right of the woman. Divorce is at 50%, murders have tripled, why?
Because God is lifting His hand of protection across America. because we have chosen we can live without His wisdom.
Go to wallbuilders.com this will certainly help in your study of what was supose to be - and what went wrong.

I don't remember the date, but it was when prayer was taken out of school, then followed the misinterpretation of the constitution and separation of church ans state was born, later the politically correct movement and who knows what is next. God still loves this nation and we have a lot of Christians, but honestly I cant see things going much further down the road we are heading , without judgment falling down on us.Welcome to the country, 40 years ago you would have found it a lot nicer.

America has never lost its religious base. Even if it were scientifically proved that god does not exist and that all religions are hoaxes, people will still believe in god and religion because they have a psychological need to do so and to give their lives meaning, even if the meaning is contrived, arbitrary and artificial.

I don't know where you've been in the US, but you can find the brand of religious intolerance you seem to be hankering for down here in what is called the Bible Belt. Any Southern state, especially Georgia, Alabama, and Tennessee, have a Baptist church, Church of God, Methodist church, or any other denominational church on almost every block.

Allah (swa)left when the nafs of mankind superceeded the commands of allah(swa) and man tried to fool himself and others by making what is forbbiden seem fairseeming. My advise would be to stay consistant with in yourself and remember your purpose to serve your creator to the best of your ability, and mostly do not walk arrogantly and act as if you are better then those who are weaker stay modest ....Allah batakah feese

The US never had a religious base. We've committed horrible, unspeakable atrocities all along, from burning witches to whipping black slaves.

When people started to close their doors to Him. I think that it began to happen in the 60s, when somebody ( who must not be named ) got prayers forbidden in schools
