Is there something like help groups for shy people in south Ca? How to fight being shy?

I am a 40 yrs old single dad of 2 kids...I would like to find a girl preferably a single mom that can understand my situation...anyways.. :P

I most definatly understand. I am VERY shy and quiet,too.Have been all my life.Dont have kids,in my mid 30's.It actually affects stuff like work, having to deal with people,especially ones I dont know.Once I get to know them it gets a little easier,but I also am prone to mood swings.
So being a shy girl is something I just gotta learn to live with and deal with; they should have support groups,they do for practically everything else,no? But I'm from N.Y.C. though,just saw where u r from.

you've done it before, it's exactly the same. Whereas I have not. U really SHOULD say woman as your 40, cuz unless ur doing a demi ashton thing, even under that is ewww okay. I don't thing ur looking for a girl under 25 or 22.

I used to be really shy until someone pointed out that no one would know I was shy unless i acted that way. I've been out-going ever since.
