I disputed a collections on my report with the credit bureau, no more then 6 days later they came back with a result of (item was verified and updated), how could this be? The collection agency refuse to send me my response to my VOD request but can send verification to the credit bureaus??? What steps are the credit bureaus required to do to verify a debt? My answer is just ask the creditors and whatever they say it sticks no matter what. In that case I need to have my own collection agency so I can make up false debts to get rich???

Thats all a company has to report, verified or updated. The easiest thing to do is look up the company on the BBB so you get the top guys name, number and address. Write them a letter requesting validation. They have by law 30 days to provide validation or they are violating the FCRA, Fair Credit Reporting Act and may be subject to penalties and fees. This way has always worked for me, they end up removing the item to avoid any hassle.

you need to contact the people who are placing that information on the report - the reporting agencies only list what the creditors (bank and stores) report to them - if you dispute it they contact the company (i will call XYZ) XYZ says yes you owe the money - then the credit reporting company says thier info is correct -
so if XYZ is telling the credit reporting agency that you owe money - until XYZ fixxes thier records it will stay there - call the company not the credit reporting agency!!!

You will need to contact the collection agency or the bank or whoever says you owe the money - and THEY need to remove it from your credit report - because they are still telling the credit reporting agency you owe the money!!!
