Rum and Coke -- I guess it's like the glass half-empty/half-full debate. I don't think I've heard that song, but maybe he only said coke and rum so he could make it rhyme with something.

The liquor is always said before the mixer.
Those guys just said it that way because i's easier to find something to rhyme with rum than coke.
