my mom just happens to be luckier than my dad because she is here with us while my dad is back home in our country. but i love them both -- equally. i cannot bear to say any name at all... it's just unfair to the other. just because i don't get to spend time with my father doesn't mean i love him less. i pray for his safety all the time.

well it depends on each one's personal life experiences. though the majority of the answers to this kinda question would be "MOTHER", i have heard of some extremely excellent men who have exceeded their share of devotion as a father. what you sow, so you reap! when the mother or father shower the kids with unconditional love and care they are sure to get that back. sometimes the men who donot want to claim responsibility to their fatherhood, tend to neglect their families. but whatever the condition, a mother, who has borne the child in her womb for a whole 9 months, creates a bond so strong, that she will love the child no matter what. so now the choice is up to you to decide.

My mother. We talk everyday..with the exception of this week because she went on a cruise and doesn't want to be charged for international calling. My mother and I have always been close. It just has been that way.
Me and my dad sometimes get along but for the most part I am still mad at him because he never wanted to see me when I was in HS.. He moved to Georgia and never called or wrote to me. I was upset at that. Still am. He never paid a dime in Child Support and never went to Jail to do so. I am still very upset at that.
So yes I prefer my mom

i prefer my father. My mother left when i was 8 i am now 35 and haven't seen her. my father has always been there for me when i was sick, and when i got pregnant at 16. he was there when i got married, and when i needed someone to talk to. He passed away 4 years ago and i miss him very much.
