Don't worry about it. I know that seems hard not to, but the more you worry, the scarier it'll be.
When you taxi, you barely feel the plane move at all. At this point the cabin crew will tell you all you need to know about what to do in case of emergencies and such.
When the plane prepares for liftoff, it starts to go really fast down the runway, and then within 45 seconds you are up in the air. Things may seem a little wobbly at first, but that's just because of moving through the different altitudes. Your ears will pop as you climb through the altitudes also.
Once you are in the air, things will feel smooth. You will hear the humm of the engines, but that's normal, nothing to worry about. I actually find it relaxing. If there is turbulance, you might feel the plane wobble a little bit, but rememeber, planes are designed to withstand this, so take a deep breath and try not to think about it.
When you are approaching landing, your ears will pop as you descend through the altitudes. You will feel the plane slow down and the cabin crew will prepare you for landing. When the plane touches down it kind of feels like a short jolt, and then you hear them cut the engines off and the plane slows down pretty fast.
From there, the plane will taxi to either the gate or the designation where a bus will pick you up. You wait for the plane to decompressurize a few moments before they start letting the passengers out. That was your flight.
Hope you have a good one, and since it's so short, it'll be over and done with before you know. Good luck!

Here are a few tips:
1. Don't take too much luggage on the plane. Check in everything you don't need for the flight.
2. Don't wear or carry too much metal, like coins. It will slow you down getting through security.
3. Since you're scared, get an aisle seat so you aren't by a window.
4. Don't eat or drink too much before the flight because the toilets aren't that good.
It feels like being in an elevator, except the direction isn't straight up and down and sometimes isn't as smooth. It depends on the weather and the pilot. A couple of times I was flying and it felt like we had a few seconds of freefall. I enjoyed it but I can understand how some people wouldn't.

The plane will move to the runway.
It will pick up speed, you will hear loud engine noise.
With sufficient speed, the plane will lift off from the ground and start to climb.
You may experience some pressure change in your ears which is normal (suck a sweet if you need to).
As the plane moves into the clouds, you may feel some turbulence, which is also normal.
You will experience the reverse sequence when the plane prepares to land.
Enjoy your flight.

You will put a seat belt on like riding in a car. The take off feels like you are going really, really fast but to me that is the fun part. The plane climbs higher and higher and then levels off. When it does you will not even feel like you are moving or you will look at the ground and feel like you are not moving very fast. Just relax and before you know it the plane will start to decend and then it will touch down on the runway and it may or may not feel like it isn't going to stop but it always does. You will know the pilot is slowing the plane down. Then the plane will "drive" up to the terminal and you will get off the plane. You will be fine. It really is safe, safer than ground travel.

It is an exhilarating feeling. Don't be scared...enjoy it. You'll feel the forces of nature lift you gently up into the air, and you'll get a very unique view of the earth from above.
Flying is the second safest way to travel in the world (second only to school bus transportation). It frightens a lot of people because they aren't in control of the situation, but if you can get past that, a flight can be quite enjoyable.
Have fun with it!

Well, At the take off and landing, it's much like a rollercoaster. So, if you're not afraid of rollercoasters, that'll be fine. Next, is the ears. It will pop. It's annoying, it will not make you hear at it's normal volume. If you want it to go away, bring gum, and chew it when it pops. It will help. Or, try openging you mouth as wide as you can like you're yawning.
Also, don't worry about any crashes or accidents. When you think about them, it just happens. But when you don't it won't. It's just so combined sometimes. Plane crashes won't happen too likely.

I was scared to on my first flight when I was going to college in another state. The bigist thing in flying is the take off and landing once your in thee air it's mostly smooth sailing. You have a better chance of getting hhit by a car then crashing in an airplane. Good luck on your flight.

When you take off you will feel two last bumps as the last wheels lift off the pavement. Then there is an acceleration to reach flight level, and your ears need to be cleared as this happens.
Then you cruise on air till your destiination and when you start top descend it feels like a Ferriswheel.
Then you land. P.S. Take out life insurance before you fly!!!

I've never flown either, but only because I've not had reason to yet. Adie flew for her first time to come see me and she was scared at first. She flies like a pro now. Just get you a headset for some tunes and some chewing gum. That is a pretty short flight which is good for your first time. You'll do fine.

I have never actually been on a plane, but my friend told me that it doesn't feel like anything. It feels like your in a car, just in the sky.If you are afraid of heights, try to avoid looking down out of the window. Also, 50 minutes isn't that bad for your first time.
