Agree or disagree. People have more problems getting along with their neighbors because they don't even like themselves, much less love themselves. So if people don't even treat themselves with respect and love, how can we expect people to get along with each other?

It does not matter what the bible says. you are correct. A great number of us do not like ourselves and therefore cannot really like others. That is why so many turn to drugs and religion to give their life meaning.

You are right. People that don"t love themselve, could never love another. When you truely get saved, God puts that love in your heart for everybody. You become a new person.

Just before that He said, "Love the Lord, thy God with all your heart, mind, and strength."
THEN love thy neighbor as thyself.
When anyone loves God that much, he loves himself too, because he realizes what he's worth to God. Then loving his neighbor really means something.

no they don't love their neihbors. people suck nowadays. don't worry, they'll
wind up as beaten dogs in their next incarnation. then they'll long for people to be kind to them but will find no relief; and wonder why as they are being brutalized.
