allow your dog to go to the bathroom on other people's front lawns...

if you pick it up?

the situation would be walking your dog along the sidewalk and it poops in the front of someone's front yard and i immediately pick it up.. i just want to know if you would be mad if this happened, or if you think most people would be.

I do if I pick it up right away. I know my husband gets really angry when other dog in the neighbor go to the bathroom on our lawn. I just let it go but I would clean it up that is just me though.

Well, of course it's alright. Where else is the poor dog supposed to go? Do people expect him to be toilet trained? Always pick up after your dog. I've found that most pet-owners are more responsible than kid-owners (I guess that would be "parents") I sure don't find it cute to smell diaper-poop in the ladies rooms. And they don't even take it with them when they leave - they put it right in the garbage.

So go ahead, let your pup poop proudly. If you walked by my front yard, I wouldn't even care if you left it. It's just a little poop, for goodness sake. People dump all kinds of toxic chemicals on their lawn to make it neon-green all year long, and they're worried about a little, all-natural dog poop? Strange priorities.

My dog absolutely WILL NOT "go" in her own yard. My leash has a roll of bags stored right in the handle. If she goes in an inappropriate place, I pick it up. I expect the same courtesy of other dog owners. We go for walks in the woods and she much prefers to do her business there, but sometimes she just does not make it that far before nature calls.

No, it is not ok.
Someday you'll own your own home, and get back on line and let us know how you feel.
Do you know how much a small bag of grass seed is? I just paid $15, and it covers only a few yds. of lawn.
The fact that you actually do curb your dog is great, though. How about the street or sidewalk instead

It is absolutely not ok to let a dog urinate or defecate on someone else's lawn.

And if i observe that happening on my lawn.....well, let's just say that both the dog and the irresponsible person attached to it are at risk of immediate retaliation in kind. And i shall leave the details to your imagination.

Well I would definetly be embarrassed if the people came home, but dogs do have to go somewhere and as long as you pick it up I would assume it's okay because my dogs go on my lawn

I fail to see the problem here. Most areas that I know of only say you must scoop the poop.. as long as you aren't leaving it there for them to step in, what's the big deal? It's not like you're spreading insecticide around, or leaving something toxic. Poop happens to be one of the most natural things around, folks! :) lol It's not hurting anyone and you're even fertilizing the yard for free!

Its very annoying when you step out to your mailbox to retrieve your mail, only to find that the area has been landmined with dog droppings from your neighbors dogs that they routinely walk from yard to yard and leave a trail of waste behind them as they go.No its inconsiderate. If you pick it up,maybe but I want a picture for my scrapbook.

Absolutely not. Would you want a dog to crap on your lawn? Wait a minute. Why aren't you making your dog crap on your lawn? I mean after all you are cleaning it up.

hmmmm, that's tricky. if the people aren't there, i would say go for it. i know that some people in my neighborhood have no dog-pooping signs in their yards, so if that were the case then don't do it. if you clean it up i don't see the problem.
