I've attached a link to a web site that discusses academic research on this topic. The bottom line is that there is no statistical difference between the sexual preferences of these children and those married by heterosexuals.

Incidently, someone threw out the "10% of people are gay" statistic. This number is based on Kinsey's study. It is well known that there is a statistical bias in his study. Gays were more likely to take part in the study, so his numbers are inflated. The actual number is thought to be between 2% and 4%. It is actually close to 10% in some cities, because gays in rural areas tend to move away.

If the parents adopted the child then it would have the same chance of becoming gay as a child raised by heterosexual parents. However, if the child is biologically related to one of the parents...then, genetically speaking, the child may be more likely (from a statistical standpoint) to be a carrier of the gene(s) for homosexuality. This is not to say that 'hetero' parents can't pass on the gene(s)...because obviously they can. Either way....as long as the parents love the child...I don't see why it should even matter....

Not necessarily. But I sure feel sorry for these kids. What adults do is their business - but for any child to have to face going to school where the other kids have heterosexual parents, and explain why they have 2 moms, or 2 dads, is not acceptable. I don't think that children should be in an abnormal environment.

Not at all.

There are studies that show that children raised by gay parents are actually more open-minded about life, and most in fact do not turn gay.

No

Do you honestly think a child raised alone by a single parent, daughter and mother would be gay, or father and son?

No. Look at people that are gay. In some of the cases, their parents were straight. Thus, the theory was not proven.

Probably only if they WANT to become gay. Because that really wouldn't decide whether or not it would be passed down to the kid.
