check at amazon.com, and Ebay sells genuine software at reduced prices, they work on a smaller profit margin

You can buy previous versions less expensively than the current versions. I've bought versions for less than $10 (incl s/h) on ebay and other sites, and they've only been 12-18 months old. Just find out what the most current version is for the program you want, and look for the one or two before that one. You won't miss much, and it's legal.

Hah! you might want to find same freeware software that does the same thing because microsoft ain't affordable (unless if you pirate it -- but good luck trying)
