Make some lemon tea, preferably Lipton caffeine free herbal tea. I like it's because it's cheap and has zing. Let the tea steep longer than usual. We're making a potion here, not regular tea.
Add a lot of lemon juice. This is what gives your throat relief, so don't shirk on it, even if it makes the tea taste bad. If you have a bottle of lemon juice, add three capfuls.

Add enough honey to balance the lemon juice and make it drinkable (maybe a tablespoon). This also helps soothe the throat.

YES! Soccer RULES!
For a sore throat I usually get a mug of hot water and squeeze half a fresh lemon into it. I've heard of using honey but most store-bought honeys are too processed to do you any good.
If you're into tea, try chamomile (tastes faintly of apples). Chamomile is used by many singers and public speakers to help with throat strain.
Try not to use your voice very much today and tomorrow. I know it's difficult, the World Cup is on(!!!), but try. :D

Dissolve 2 aspirin or paracetamol in 1/2 cup warm water, add the juice of 1 lemon, top cup up with hot water and add 2 teaspoons of honey. Gargling with warm salty water also helps. Hope you feel better soon.

Mix equal amounts of lemon and honey and use it like a cough syrup. Take 2 teaspoonfuls as needed. Also gargling with salt and warm water helps a lot.
