*Treating thread worm or otherwise called Entrobius Vermicularis involves treatment of whole family
*Means treating just the child wont clear the worm
*Because the worm is very infectious
*The worm lays egg at night at around anal region
*thus the childs clothes and hands get infected
*and from childs hand the bed sheet is infected
*From the clothes other kids get infected
*So to cure the child fully The whole family should take medicine
*It include ALBENDAZOLE tablets(chewable) single dose at night
*the whole family should take it together

Infected children or adults should be treated as soon as possible. The rest of the family should also be treated at the sametime. Threadworm can be treated with one of two medicines, MEBENDAZOLE (e.g. Ovex) or PIPERAZINE (e.g. Pripsen piperazine), both of which can be bought over the counter from pharmacies. Both medicine can be given as a single dose.
Good hygiene is essential to stop the infection being spread, including washing hands and scrubbing under nails before eating and after visiting the toilet.

He might be getting "re-infected". Think about how he may have gotten them in the first place (daycare, dirt, animals). Another issue is that, sometimes the medicines kill the worms but not any eggs or larvae. For example, he may have to take the medicine a few days apart over the course of a week. A doctor should know.

If someone is asking a serious question, the answer should be serious one....guys what is the use of answering rubbish just to earn 2 poitns instead of helping someone.
Darling i would suggest to see a doctor and nothing to get embarrassed by this, coz everybosy gets this in their life. The doc might ask all of u family memebrs for 'DEWORMING', n for the time being take a cotton swab diiped in edible oil and wipe the bottom part (anal part) of your child to relax him from itching.Don't get embarrassed please n see a doc as soon as possible

There is a treatment which involves dyeing the worms, which kills them, (ie a bright red pill that'll make everything that comes out pink for a bit!); afraid I can't remmber what it's called but might be worth asking a pharmacist.

Take him to the doctors. As well I would imagine even though if no one else has symptoms you all with have to be treated. Worms are common in kids in Daycare or around animals. Nothing to be embarrassed about. As well if he is in daycare your should inform the daycare of the problem.

its not embarrasing babe as my son got it about 8 months ago....
does your son go playschool or nursery.. if so talk to them about the hygiene patterns there. cos my son caught it from his playschool as alot of the children were not washing there hands and that is away from catching them. also the treatment might be working but he may need to go on it longer than normal cos he may need to kill quite a few. My son had to take it a week extra than stated dose. If this is not effective, take him to doctors again on pharmacist in boots. As i work in boots and they are pretty good.
hope that has helped and stopped making you feel so bad!!!!

insert a mole in him to eat the worm - moles eat worms.
if the mole becomes a problem, insert a ferret - ferrets eat moles.
If the ferret becomes a problem, kill it by infecting it with a threadworm.
