While there isn't anyone who lives a perfect sin free life, a true Christian, as opposed to a professing Christian has been born again by the Spirit of God and is no longer considered a lost sinner in God's eyes but one of his beloved Saints.

Many people have given an intellectual assent to the gospel message and they attend religious services but they are not "true Christians" because they have never been born again.

"Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God." Nicodemus said to him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.' The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit." John 3:3-8

A person who has received God's Spirit can no longer continue to live a life that is characterized by continued sinful behavior because God is now at work transforming them into the image of Jesus at the inner level of soul and spirit.

"For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. To set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace. For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God dwells in you. Anyone who does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to him. But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die, but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs--heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him. Romans 8:3-17

None. All Christians are True Christians.

A Christian is a person that has the Holy Spirit.

The problem comes when people say they are Christians and don't follow the Bible's teachings.

Most Christians will confess that they know the Bible is correct, but they can't live up to it fully. They try.

I question people that say they are Christian's but don't believe the Bibles teachings. Like ...they believe divorce and homosexuality is fine, even though it teaches that it isn't.

People like this usually explain away the Bibles teachings so they can feel justified living in a life of sin. I would say that these people SAY they are Christians, but really aren't.

If a person can SAY they are Christians, yet also SAY that many of the Bibles teachings are incorrect, then I begin questioning if they really are Christians.

There is a difference in everything, no matter how you flip the coin. A christian is on who shows all the outward signs of being christlike. However inwardly she could be a thief and worse but the true christian even though not sinless, realises that she is a sinner and everyday tries to do something to keep in the path of christ. So she is real on the surface and on the inside...within her heart. The opposit of that is a pretender even though she may appear to the public as christlike. Didn't Judas pretend to be a friend? Then he sold Jesus for thirty pieces of silver?

Some sinners enjoy being sinners, and some sinners don't. Some sinners are content to remain the same, and some sinners want to change. Jesus' death and resurrection provides the way for sinners to change, to begin to break sin's hold on their lives, and to be granted access to a Holy God who cannot tolerate sin, because He is love (1 Corinthians 13:6).

We're all sinners, the only difference between Christians and non-Christians is believing that Jesus is Lord. He is the Way to life after death, everyone who believes this is a Christian. Christians are no better than anyone else.

From personal experience, i've found that "True Christians" are some of the worst people in the world. SOME, not all. In fact...most.

They're so racist it's not even funny. Christianity promotes understanding, and yet you get these "True Christians" talking about how everyone should be Christian and whoever isn't is going to hell. They hate all non-Christians, and even some Christians.

They think everything they do is right. They do anything they please, no matter what "sin" it falls under. They think that since they are such good Christians, they have the force of God behind them and he'll right them in any wrong that they've done.

Some of them can be just downright VICIOUS.

Again, i'm talking about some True Christians, not all. In fact, most are like that.

I don't understand what you are asking really Ive never heard of a Christian v. a true Christian....... I'm a Christian, i confess that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and I'm always asking for forgiveness (we all sin all the time, we were born sinners~ no one is perfect) and just building a close relationship with God and the plans that he has for my life. I Hope you find your true answer in Christ! God Bless<><

Only God knows the difference between someone who says they are a Christian and someone who truly is. I believe it has to do with what's in your heart. You cannot have hate in your heart and call yourself a Christian. Jesus said that you will know them by their fruits, making a comparison to trees which have strong roots and a firm foundation will produce fruit, in this case, the fruits of their faith. However, when we look at the actions and behaviour of Christians, we can have a pretty good idea, even if we can't know for certain, of where their true heart is.

My best guess is that there are no "true" Christians. There are some people who claim they are Christians, but don't live as Christians, so maybe the "true" Christians are just the people who try harder? I'm not sure.

I am a Christian. I do the very best I can, but yes, we all sin, and I wouldn't consider myself better than anyone else.
