Does anyone have any ideas on throwing a nice but cheap baby shower?

My best friend is having a baby and I want to throw her a shower but I'm kinda broke right now any ideas would be so helpful

Try buying cresant rolls with little sausages and baking them (baby in blanket!)
Play pin the cloth diaper on baby while blinfolded! (be careful!)
Play the baby name game (if your friend hasn't chosen a name this can give her ideas) One name for every letter of the alphabet. First one done wins.
Get prizes from a dollar store (ideas: picture frames, baby related figurines, and DVDs to burn pics of the mom to be for guests, maybe set to music)
Have guests to bring items for a mom bag. Just for her when she is in the hospital.( ideas: travel sized shampoo, perfume, and disposable razors, PJs, camera/ film, a magazine)

At a baby shower, it doesn't have to be expensive. It's just a time for women to get together and chat. People have very inexpensive baby showers in my area all the time. You don't have to have costly games, just put out a little food. Since it's women, a nice pasta salad or even some fruit would work. If you can't even afford that, you could do a potluck.

a potluck is least expensive for the food. don't worry about party favors. ballons and crepepaper are inexpensive for decorations. if you have a dollar store near you you can get alot for a little. The cake may be one of the more expensive items. Most women prefer cheesecake or something like that over a sheet cake. good luck

i have an idea for a game...
those little plastic babies, you know what i am talking about? have each player roll them like dice and whoever gets the most "babies bottoms up" wins. i would use at least 5 babies, they can put it in a cup too instead of their hand to roll them. original and cheap...
