Well it is not illegal in Nevada. It is not legal in every part but there are areas close to the big citites and some not so close that are totally legal... they are licensced and checked to see that they are all clean and free of disease, all precautions that are possible are taken... and those girls make a lot of money.
And from what I have heard the only one that makes money with porn movies is the guy making and selling them. Most of those "actors" and that term is so "loosely" meant are not paid alot of money. There lives are dictated by drugs and prostitution, the illegal streetwalking kind that can give you a disease just talking to you probably...Also in some other countries I believe it is also legal and government controlled just like all other business ventures...
Remember movies are movies too.... ever heard the term fluff girl.... there is also a lot of editing that goes on... that stuff is not real in most cases..
Just do some reading and you will find out.

There are some countries legalized the prostitution, but some countries are conservative! If prostitution will be legal anywhere, you cannot control the market of flesh, more disease or aids spreads all over the world, one thing it is immoral and mortal sin!babies born by the infected prostitutes mother or fathers(uses prostitutes)are likely affected by aids and different sexual diseases!Porn star are paid by the producers not by the leadingman they have sex with!If you have thousand of dollars you can have sex with them same as they are paid for to make a movie why not?If you can afford their market value!

Prostitution isn't illegal everywhere. I believe Nevada is the state that legalized it. But the ladies have to get checked out every week, they live is a good place, where people can make sure they are safe, and they have to account for the money, like any other business.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think you'll find that prostitution is legal - solicitation is not.
That means you're perfectly free to take money for sex but not to offer your services publicly - i.e. on the street. When prostitution is 'two consenting adults', nobody has the right to stop you.
Pimping is also illegal in most places.

Good question. I have thought about that myself. And why is it illegal to get paid for something that you can do for free when and with whom you choose? Not much in the way of an answer. It's the oldest profession in the world.

Because the Righteous Right hasn't been able to get enough people to agree to make it illegal.
The Porn industry generates great amounts of revenue, all of which are taxed and the industry itself is self-regulating.
There is no setup like that in Prostitution.

Street Prostitution should be illegal. It promotes spread of Aids and other goodies. It supports drug habits. I am not opposed to houses of prostitution that would get the women and men off the streets and into more protected situations where they can have regular medical checkups and clean sheets.

It has to do with the erosion of morality in this country that has been falling away from the eternal truths contained in God's Word. People who engaged in pornography used to have to do it apart from the law because it was obvious that such behavior was shameful and degrading. But as society has continued to take God out of the decision making process we have been embracing harmful and immoral practices in an ever increasing measure as people have decided that they want to be the "gods" of this world and submit to no higher authority.

Money. Profit. Market forces.
Prostitutes perform for one client and get paid only once per 'performance'.
Porn stars 'perform' for millions of people and get paid royalties per each unit sold.
More money+more acceptable=legal.

The main difference is their partner in the film doesn't pay them, they get paid by the filmmaker.
Prostitution is selling your sex to please someone. Porn stars have sex with someone else who is also being paid.
Thats the only logical thing I could come up with.
