No I don't think we should have borders. I think we should stop separating ourselves. I think people should try to learn about others cultures and religions. Not that you have to follow them but you could at least know how others are thinking and feeling. Religion doesn't have to divide us but when people choose to label themselves it will have that effect. The way to start such a thing is by making the choice in your own life to not separate yourself from others. To live with your mind open and your heart free.

Many things cause division, religion, language, customs, economy, just name a few. When we all speak the same language then there will be great progress made in having a world that can work together. The other causes will slowly be blended and eventually there could be a global state. Actually I doubt if it will happen but it is possible. Take a good look at the USA. Now what if each of the fifty states spoke a different language. Can you imagine the problems there would be. Florida and California are becoming states that another language is used very much. Problems because of that are already very much alive.
.....Abut 25 percent of peoples on this planet now can use English well enough to be understood among each other. This is the driving force of globalization. Progress happens when people can understand each other.

America was carved out of an empire, that believed that they were global. It had a lot to do with local representation, taxation, and religion. It may sound arogant, but that's who I am. Seperate for good reason. I suspect you owe your global attitude to the American Peace, that has dominated the world for five decades.
As to crossing borders, there are no more latinos migrating back and forth, than there were fifty years ago. But, there has been no war in Europe, that would flood this country with northern Eropeans. Thanks to the American Peace.
As to divisions, there is no more diverse a culture, religously, than the USA. Period.

First of all, borders are all in the mind as well as in the hearts of those who maintain them.
As you well know, the United States is currently increasing their efforts to maintain our borders with Mexico.
We are all global citizens whether we believe it or not. Borders would not be of concern, if all people were trustworthy and peaceful. Therefore, I contend that borders are a necessary tool. The maintenance of a country's infrastructure is dependent upon secure borders in this day and age.

It still would not solve anything. Only acceptance and tolerance will. If you got rid of borders people would still have their own languages, customs, patterns of dress, etc. Borders as we have known them are a relatively new thing but that didn't mean areas weren't controlled by someone. Look at Germany, it's borders are not that old. Before then it was divided into Duchy's with a Prince or a Duke ruling it. If you got rid of borders you would always have someone who would grab a small area of land and rule it in their own stead and you would still have conflict.

countries are separated because they are ruled by different people. without the divisions there would have to be a global government which would fail.
Religion doescause some division yes, but not always.

The one problem with globalisation is, one corrupt government affecting evryone in the world will suck!!! But, i really wish borders of countries will be open, or more open than what it is now. I am a traveller and just hate paper work, and that is exactly what i have to deal with everywhere i go, paperwork....visas and bs.

as ruler i get first crack at female virgins upon attaining the age of 18
does that sound like a good idea?

Absolutely NOT! It is Not a matter of religion but indigenous living. I lived 36 places before I left home and have traveled the world. I know my boundaries. Thanks.
