I'm 29 and, was still living with my parents until recently. That sort of thing is happening more and more. It's not necessarily right, but it is common - times are getting more and more difficult.

As for the divorce, almost EVERY child thinks it's their fault. At the absolute WORST case, you were a minor factor. In that event, the one who left would have considered it icing on the cake - but I sincerely DOUBT that's the case.

I do not believe it is your fault. I know a dude who is thirty, lives with his parents, and they argue, a lot. If you go to college, your gone a goo 9-11 months out of the year. If you don't, you probably have a job, right? And even if you stay at home most of the day, it's fine. The thing is, when two people bring a new life into the world, they are amazed. They love you and they wouldn't divorce because of you!

You are perfectly NORMAL! I am a parent and my 25 year old daughter lives with us as does my 21 year old son. I realize that they are adults and I do not even attempt to run their lives - so they are comfortable here. They contribute as equal members of the household - so I am happy with their presence.
The important thing is that you are all comfortable with the arrangement. There is no right or wrong template. As individuals you have the right to make the decisions that work best for YOU and no one has the right to judge those decisions.
As for the divorce situation - that is between your parents, you are not responsibility for their ability (or inability) to work out the issues that are affecting their union. As their child all you can do is be supportive of them as individuals that you love.

Whatever happens between your parents it has to do with them, not you. I would say do talk to them, regardless of whether they divorce or not, they are not divorcing you, you will always be their child, always.

If you can afford to live on your own, I would say go ahead - if not, think of a plan (saving, a second job, etc) so you can move out. Am sure even if they get divorced and you don't have a place, you will be more than welcome with either one until you can get back on your feet. After all, we all need our space too.

Your being at home can't cause a divorce. All parents love their children and find them a source of binding the family. You should talk to your parents about your concerns.

It is unlikely that you would be the cause of a possible divorce. Talk to them about it.

No, I highly doubt that. You could give more info, but I have a feeling it's not because of you. If I were you, I'd talk to them about it, and I'll bet they'll reassure you of this.

You sure can't cause bad feelings between your parents, they do that on their own.
