I love the fact that he is so charming and funny,
he used to like me until things went sour between us as his friends interfered, and he had to stick up with them.....that made me stay away from all of them,
but now I realise that I miss him,he was never really mine in the first place, but I need to talk it through with him and tell him I still want him as a friend,
Should I ask him out to the movies?

he was stalking me the other day.
I know he is not that into me,but I enjoy his company.

I'm a strong believer in talking things out in pretty much any situation. I also believe in seizing the moment (Carpe Diem!)... but then I read the word "stalking" and I got a little worried for you. I think maybe we need more info on that part...
If we put aside the "stalking" part, communication is the way to go. Maybe ask him just to get a coffee first, so you can sit down and talk things out (movie theatres aren't so good for that!). Then play it by ear: if he responds positively when you're explaining things over coffee, mention that "Hey, we should catch a movie sometime" and if again he responds positively, then you're home-free. I'd recommend making things concrete by deciding a movie & time right there and then before leaving the coffe shop.
Good luck!

He should be able to understand. After all, he is'nt the one who caused this. He probably feels guilty that he went with his friends.
If it's been over a month you have been away from him, there is a very good chance he feels the same way. If he still feels "sour" forget him. there are at least 3 billion guys in this world anyways

If you don't ask, you'll never know. So ask yourself - what is worse - the feeling of rejection that lasts for a couple of days, or a lifetime of wondering?
Of course, if he says yes, then good for you - you may be onto a good thing which you wouldn't have been if you didn't ask.
So ask him!

Tell him how you feel and that you want to spend time with him. Asking someone out is just a ritual. Get to the point.

absolutely. if you try you might fail, but if you don't take a chance you'll never succeed.
call me crazy, but I think a small chance at happiness is better than no chance at all. ;-)

No. He has already proven that his friends are more important to him than you, so what do you really hope to gain? You deserve someone who deserves you. He doesn't.

I say do it.
What's the worst he can say? No?
At least then you won't be wondering "what if...?"

Absolutely. You will never know what might happen if you don't ask.

you can explain your feelings to him and if he is positive about you and your friendship then only ask him out.
