I have no clue how to do movies any help anyone can give me would be great I need to know in order to download a full movie in theathers or on dvd what to do. Also what is a avi.

If you click on video, then do a search for the movie name, Limewire will search for it. If its on anyone computer (thats in the network), it will find it. Simply double click on the title to start downloading.
I always click on the size of the file to give me an indication on the size of the movie - movies are quite large.
Avi files are the type that can be used for playing movies on your PC in either Realpayer or Media Player - avoid downloading media with a .mov extention as these won't play.
Some people set their machines up so that they're not sharing - you won't be able to download from them and this will be a hit and test system until you can start downloading.

Select video search and type in movie, full, comedy, or similar key words. (Beware not all titles are correct, you may get a few surprises) Then depending on what capabilities your media player has you can pick which ones you want.
I usually get the Mpg or Mpeg, that's the only type I can play.
I'm pretty sure you can burn these to a CD also.
From the searching I've done there aren't very many to pick from unless your looking for porn.
Also beware that downloading movies is a very good way to get viruses.

Type the movie you want to download on the search tab in Limewire. You will get many lins and downloads. Click on any one of them to download your movie.

If the music is free (ie no license is needed) then no it's not illegal to own. If the music requires a license to use (buying on itunes, buying a cd, etc) you are obtaining a license to this music by the purchase.
