I support Our military and Our President. Some people just don't get it. The price of Freedom isn't Free. Some people just don't understand the dedication of the Islamic Jihad. They hate America and Americans and they will continue to kill us rather it be here at home or over there,Over there is the place to fight them, not at home. They have been attacking us long before 911, We just are lucky enough to have a President who will fight them back and not appease and ignore them.

My freedom was not endangered by Iraq or Saddam Hussein or anyone else outside the country for that matter. Stop listening to the propaganda sweetie.

I have yet to hear people say that they don't care about the well-being of the troops. The problem with those that have such discontent for dissidents is that they hear what they want to hear from the anti-war messages.

Not supporting the war does not mean that you wish harm for those on the ground or do not support the troops.

Yes there are some radicals that are anti-war and anti-troop but they are few and far between.

The two ideologies CAN be separated although some proponents of the war would disagree.

As an individual that is not supportive of the 'war' in Iraq can assure you that I am supportive of the troops. I can and will moan and groan about the war but while I do that, I have participated in efforts to send materials to our troops.

On many occasion I have sent food, hygeine products and literature to the troops to assist them in their current locale.

Your method of logic could apply to the following scenario:

Why can't proponents of the war realise that not supporting the war does not mean anti-troop?

This is not an all or nothing situation.

The military officials that have recently retired and are speaking out against the war as civilians, are they non-supportive of our troops?! I don't think so. They support them because they have been there and done that. They speak out against what is going on in Iraq because they too have been there done that.

So the civilian popultion cannot be that deranged if even military offcials have the same sentiment. Of course that is not a test of validity but it goes to show that the anti-war/pro-troop sentiment is not far fetched. It's real.

I agree with what bungiebabe said. While I support the troops, I don't feel that going to war against Iraq was in the best interest of our nation. It has nothing to do with the troops, but the leaders who put them there. WE are there, and , right or wrong, we need to finish what we started and get out.

I don't understand why people insist on saying "fighting for our freedom", when, actually, they are "fighting for Iraqi freedom". That, in itself, is a brave and noble cause, but one we were fooled into undertaking.

Thank you Bob Barker, for your brilliant insights on this issue. We need more proud and noble Americans like yourself.

I think most of them do care, but not for the war. I want to tell them that,WE are there for God's sake. REPEAT, we are there. Whether you say you support the troops, but not the war is not relevant anymore. My boy is there and he said when confronted with the enemy they taunt them and say your own country is running away. They feel braver, and inflamed by the media saying we are against it and want us out. How would you like to be trying to save your own life and hear that? WE are there so why keep saying these things when our soldiers are in harms way. It's always the anti war people that get more troops harmed. It's like if your kid was getting beat up by a bully, and your not there to help, but people are saying get em get em, but it's wrong, so the bully looks up smiles and hits him harder. My grandpa said America never did that in wars until Viet Nam. They shut up while our troops were in danger. With the Internet and left wing media the enemy is inflamed. Why can't people see that? Freedom of speech is wonderful, but it can also kill. The terrorists are listening.

People care about our troops fighting in Iraq, that's why they want them to come home. If someone you cared about died in battle with an enemy our president created then you'd be that way too.

Go back and find out why Scooter Libby was in trouble because of a CIA leak. Then you might understand.

I think you are asking the wrong question. It's not that we don't care about the TROOPS it's that we are upset because the administration sent them into a place that didn't need to be invaded. They lied and the troops are being killed. We do care about the troops, just not our misguided leaders.

First, they are not "fighting for our freedom" Iraq under Saddam
was no threat to the U.S. and certainly is not now. There were NO weapons of mass destruction found. Secondly, the real threat to the U.S. is the invasion of both legal and illegal immigrant coming from Latin America and Asia.

Fighting for your freedom by invading another country, fighting for your fredom to control the oil that belongs to ALL the world, fighting for your freedom to enjoy world supremecy so that American citizens can live in luxury while others suffer, fighting for a freedom you yourselves have become slaves to and in your blindnness follow a bloody path to war and place a chimp in the White House. I am not American and proud to be a European. We have learned from our mistakes of Empire and are now a mature, balanced and diplomatic race of people. Your young country has yet to learn to accept co-existence without interference, sacrifice of supremecy and security to ensure peace. To live and let live. Stop sending arms and soldiers, start sending aid packages and diplomats. Stop toppling governments, start talking to them instead. Stop killing terrorists desperately angry, try listening to them and breaching the gap of ignorance between you.

Most families in America doent have friends or relitives they know in Iraq. That is why they are less likely to think about it becausethey don't know anybody there.
