i was laid off last month on the 21st and i signed up on unemployment and i called it in on the 6th of this month (june) and i have yet to see it come in the mail. We don't have any income right now and we well really me (my wife asked the other ?) but this is about me. I worked in the coalmines and got laid off. We have always made it on our on since we were 18 years old and have raised our son without putting him off on anyone. We are the type of people that do not ask anyone for anything but we are in a tight spot and it hurts my ego that we will have to ask to borrow money. My wife asked nicely what did you all think and you all were rude to her. She is a stay at home mom. I am the main provider (that is how it should be). Do you understand how hard it is to ask anyone for help? Since we both were 18 we only asked once for a small loan of not even a hunderd dollars and we paid it back the very next day. What we are saying is what can we say to borrow money ???

Do you own your car? IF so I would recommend going to an auto loan center and getting a cash loan verse the title of your car.

If your hurting for money and you have realtives willing to loan you money on a signed contract of some sort then why not just go ask. I have alot of pride too but not so much that I won't ask for help when it's needed. These days are different from our parents generation most people can't work just one job or have just one income and make it (unless of course you pull down 75 to 100K a year) but most of us don't.
Good luck and my previous answers was due to the fact I thought this was some sort of lame attempt for attention from a bored chick. Apparently that is not the case.

No job is secure, there are people that have worked for companies for many years and have lost their jobs for various reasons. There are organizations that can help you and they should, when you worked you paid your taxes into them. If you need to borrow money, tell people the truth; that you got laid off and you were the only source of income for your family. You're not asking for money to buy luxeries, you're asking for money just to survive. You might want to check into going back to school, there are all kinds of different loans and some you don't have to pay back.

there are certain things that you need to consider when borrowing money from people because they tend to ask you if you could pay back or if you have a collateral, some things that would guarantee that it's safe to lend you certain amount of cash. if you have these you'll be certain that you could borrow and pay back within a period of time. and if none, i guess the only solution to that is work on something that would make income for your family; find other means of work. and it's not all about what kind of job but how much it would do to make you live from day to day...

Do you have family, or friends that might give you a loan until your money comes? They know your problems, and should be sympathetic to your needs. You also might think about getting a temporary job, or part-time job just to help out for now. It WILL get better, just have faith! Good Luck!
