I'm new at my school (8th grade, and yes we still have 2 weeks left) and I've been here since December, I didn't make many friends but I had one good one who hangs out w/ the popular group (hes a guy) We always got along GREAT but his friends and his twin (lmao ya he has a twin borther who hates me to death) HATE me. He recentley gave in and hates me too now (I know he doesn't really becase when alone hes totally nice) should I stop trying to be his friend? I mean, after all if I can't be his friends in front of others I can't be his friend at all. What should I do?

No friend is worth having if he decides to take sides with other people and starts to dislike you too. If you really want to do this, ask him why doesn't he like you all of a sudden. Get to the bottom of the story. Otherwise, find new friends. He's not worthy of your friendship if he is really mean to you. Keep your head held up high and do the best you can to show that what he's doing to you is not bothering you at all. I know this will be hard so stay focused on what you need to be doing.

I suggest that you find out exactly why your best friend suddenly acted so strangely. If he has to act differently whe you two are not alone, it's tough for you two to be truly good friends. That's just my opinion, you'll have to make the final decision for yourself.

If someone judges you by what someone else thinks they are not worth being your friend. I would find a new friend. Be kind but be smart.
