I want to make a convertor for IDE 2 USB.But I Didn't found it on web.Help me by give info about it or by give me some link.Notice that i don't want to buy it,I want to make it! I want the datails of it,for example microcontroller in it & its program, connections in bitween circuit datails & ...

The best hing to do is just go out and buy a $30 USB external hard disk/CD enclosure, and find out what chip is on it.
Then go to the manufacturers website or a place like Active Components and find the specs on the chip.
Once you have that, it shouldn't be too hard to construct a reader that can extract the firmware code from the chip.
If all you really need is to run an ide drive off the USB port..just but the bloody $30 box!

hi, sorry for being late. but again i wont be of much help in this matter. i m not into electronics. but can tell you one thing, the best thing to know about it is you go for one, get it from the market , and then dismantel it, i have never done this on this connector but as it shows it is not that tough. once you open it you can see all the microcontrollers and jumper settings. is is basically the cross connection of the cables with a few jumpers and a micro controller. you can search for the circuits on some electronics source engines, but still, when you are in the industry, once you dismantel it, you can easily get to know about the internal architecture. its easy and this is how i know about other circuits i deal with. i cant assist you much in these terms basically for i m a fashion technology student and electronics and computers is just my hobby. just go for it and let me know if i can be of any help, i will b there....
