Any kid with any knowledge of yahoo can read anything at all in these questions and answers. Some of this stuff just isn't appropriate for kids to see.

I've asked myself the same question too. Racist questions, profanity and information that if a child is too young could be terrifying. But ultimately it's up to the child's parents/guardians to monitor what their child is accessing on the Internet. It's really the only way to keep them safe from this and all the other dangerous stuff out there in the big world wide web.

There is no age verification system on Yahoo for the most obvious reason than an age verification system is impossible. There's no way a web site would know how old the user is.

I wonder why Yahoo doesn't have people reading and reporting some of the stuff posted here from bestiality to child molestation... I know the majority is posted by juveniles looking to get their kicks, but they should be reported anyway and it might teach them a thing or two about proper behavior.

I agree but they don't know how old the people are that are creating accounts and we all know that not all parents are that computer savvy to be checking up on them. When I find something vulgar or inappropriate for children, I use the report abuse under whoever's name is saying it.

lol there is a lot worse stuff on the internet than yahoo answers, i wouldnt be too concerned. and its probably mostly 12 year old kids that post a lot of the crap

they do have some- but not much of a system, if you see something cant you just click on the report abuse button ?? Most children may not be able to use this website as in some places it is confusing and difficult

If you read the questions, they are usually written by the children that shouldn't be reading this stuff.
