Egg.

From the smallest of living beings (single-celled organisms), evolution resulted in the gradual genetic changes into bigger and more complex living beings.

So at the very beginning, there was no chicken or egg, just a living cell which with time, became the first egg to produce the first chicken (the egg of which was laid by a slightly genetically different "chicken").

i know the actual answer to this lol aint i sad, the chicken came first, about 100 years ago in canada (i think in canada) 2 blokes thought it would be funny to send a chicken as a parcel and an egg in another parcel, one friend sent the 2 packages to his other friend then asked him what came first the egg or the chicken. lol and in actual fact the chicken came first well dleivered to his house

This is an easy one!!!

If you are religious, the Chicken, as god created the animals.

If you are a Darwin fan, the Egg, since life is said to begin with enzymes, and then into cells and then into multicell thing creating an ovum and then into an egg and then into a form of multicell creature of some sort that could lay an egg.
