Would we be embarassed if we were known for having the most weak, gutless supporters? (bit like shrewsbury town fc & wrexham fc) runners

This is a tough one. I'm English and very proud of it. I don't like the idea of hooligans though. However if someone starts giving me grief, there is no way I will back down. I guess this is the same for a group of lads who are supporting football. If you look back in the history of English football there has always been hooligans. However I believe that the action should be kept on the pitch. Look at rugby fans, the game is violent and the fans get on great with each other.

I hate all the English hooligans, the worst part of it is when the rest of the world confuse British supporters with English supporters.
British supporters are a combination of Scotland, Ireland, Wales and england. English Hooligans only come from england and the other 3 countries have NOTHING to do with them.
Please stop the confusion!

Yes indeed, be proud, if it makes you happy. If someone does something better than anyone else we should praise them.
If English soccer fans are really are meaner, stupider and more violent than foreign thugs then that really is something to shout about.
Sure, some people might think it's a bit sad that these people live their lives vicariously through the talents of people people who probably despise them. Sad, that they choose to express their strangely homoerotic passion for other men (the players) by beating up other latent homosexuals who support other teams, but not us.
We love our football hooligans!

How sad if you respect hooligans. English hooligans make the whole country look bad. I dont follow football for the simple reason that you know people go just to spoil it. I think hooligans should be banned for life.

the reason they have respect from foreign hooligans is that english hooligans are the only ones who create problems for other english people as well as others !!! theres nothing wrong or weak about respect for others way of life.
