Don't get rid of it...moss is beautiful and gives a more natural and soft look at to a walkway...or if you must, then listen to the others.

Spill some oil. Moss needs to breathe. Oil will film the moss and it will die in some hours or a couple of days. Then you put some sand on it to get rid of the oil. Pretty messy, but should work.

why would you want to get rid of it? It took me a long time to fill in all the bricks with moss. I think it looks good and keeps the grass from growing there.

Use bleach. If you use bleach in a power washer, it will eat up the rubber gaskets. SureClean is something that will also kill moss but not grass or flowers, you will probably have to buy it in a masonry supply house.And it's expensive, but good results.

lime killed ours.
not on walkway, but in th back yard. the (almost) entire back yard. 3/4 acre was nothing but moss. gone in 3 days.

Pour boiled water on the moss, then after it has died, scrape the moss off.

Use weed killer. Also try covering it up so no sunlight gets to it and keeping it dry so no water gets to it.
