i have to make an experiment on investigate the effect of distance on magnetic force

Do you have a small scale? Put a magnet on the scale with the north pole up. Mount another magnet above that magnet with the north pole down. Move the top magnet to different heights and records the height and the "weight" on the scale. Mount the second magnet with the south pole down and repeat. Draw a graph comparing height and weight with the north pole up and the north pole down. What shapes are the graphs?

simple, take to bar magnits with north and south pole magnetic force and put north on north or south on south.

another project you can use is simple show how the arrow on a compass always points north then explain that the reason this happends is there is a magnet in the compass that directs the arrow in the direction of the northern magnetic field of the earth.

A simple question will be to get a bar magnet, put it under a paper and pour some iron fillings on that paper. You will see that a pattern will be made, and the nearer to the magnet, the denser the amount of fillings that will be found. Hope it works :) and Good Luck.
