I lived in Iran and I think they are great and peace lovin

One part that baffles me about Iranian culture is how praised and revered suicide bombers are. That kid - I forget his name - who is credited as the first suicide bomber is practically a national hero... it is a method of war that worldwide is considered underhanded and shameful, regardless of how effective it may be.

By the way, I have no doubts that the Iranian people love peace. People everywhere love peace. It's just a matter of whether or nor their leaders love peace, and that is debatable when the leaders of Iran speak about the destruction of Israel. Granted, you don't get anywhere in politics in the Middle East without hating Israel... but what kind of theo-centric government preaches for the death of a country that seriously would be happy enough just left alone. Of course, it's a little late for that...

I understand that the US sent the wrong message in their "War on Terror." The message that much of the world received was "if you don't have nukes and you annoy us, we will invade you." So in that respect I don't blame Iran for trying to develop nuclear technology, whether for civilian or military use... Frankly, if I lived between Iraq and Afghanistan, I'd want to protect myself from the foreign army that is occupying both of those countries. The rest of the world would have a much lesser problem with it if your leaders would just lay off the "we hate Israel" talk. I mean, nobody is going to be happy with another nuclear power, but a little good behaviour goes a long way.

All that aside, all of the Iranians and other Persians I've met have been wonderful people... very warm and hospitable and generous. People would see that side of Iran if the world wasn't so blinded by your government's extreme views - at least extreme in terms of Western society - of Israel.

Hmmm...

That part of the world must love peace. They have had so little of it over the centuries.

Seriously, the Middle East was the cradle of civilization, but it cannot give up a grudge. And I do not understand it. I don't have the background for it.

I have no problem getting along with people who can get along with me. And I understand we have a frothing at the mouth administration here at the moment. We will be rid of them in two years, and will have a different type of frothing at the mouth administration then.

Bull in the China shop we are. We get in, we break stuff, we never understand why.

The area Iran occupies is so prone to earthquakes, I wonder how anybody thinks a nuclear power plant can be safely built there.

The current administration there is also of the frothing at the mouth type. Great combination with ours.

I don't know. A long and proud civilization. Lose some of the pride. The US is a short and proud civilization. I would give the same advice to us. Lose some of the pride. Makes us all get along better.

Iranian persons, as in those I have met and know, I have no problem with. Interesting people. The Iranian government needs to change its message a bit. As (ahem) does ours. A lot.

If you love peace why do you allow yourself to be represented by the madman you have in office right now? Politics brings out the worst people. Hasn't been a president of the US in my lifetime that I was proud of or that I'd even trust to hold onto a bag of candy around a child. Still were we to elect somebody as bad as your leader half the world would be nuclear wreckage right now.

Second your religion is yours. There is nothing in the Koran that supports the power strtucture used by mid and top level Islamic leaders to preach hatred and violence. The protests against the Danish cartoons and the death warrent on Rushdie are throw backs to the dark ages. The fact that I can be %99.9 certain you are Islamic because of the nation you live in alone tells me of the great intolerance your nation has toward other people.

Changing things like that start with everybody who lives and is a member of a group/nation/area. If you truely love peace you have to remove the fanatics who use religion to pervert your people. Before this group came into power the Arab world was one of tolerance, science, art, litituture and also a major military power. This continued even into the early days of Islam. Your religion is not what has crippled your people. It is the power mongers who hold you hostage under the pretense of religion. Get rid of them and you can have a truely Arab society again. It may not resemble the West very much but at least the world will not have to worry every day about some idiot getting ahold of nuclear or biological weapons and wiping mankind off the face of the earth.

Think about it. Western nations could easily kill every man woman and child in Arab nations. Would we even consider it? No we wouldn't. Anybody who even suggested such an idea would be beaten down instantly. You have an elected leader who not only would consider it, he even openly advocates the use of such weapons. How can a citizen of any other nation respect a citizen of your nation given that fact?

I have dated two Iranian women. One I just assumed was a Black girl because she hung with all Black people and was very Americanized. She was hot and sexy.

I knew the other one was Iranian when we were introduced by a mutual friend. She was also very Americanized. She was mad cool and was also hot and sexy. Both of them liked to have a good time, if you know what I mean.

So, what do I think of Iranians? They are hot, sexy and like to have a good time.

iran is a very beautifull place to visit the people in general are ver friendly and hospitable.i am a citizen of india and i visited shiraz and bandar abbas in 2005 wherever i went the people recieved me wholeheartedly at one place i met this person in a reastaurant and just after speaking with each other for about 10 min he invited me to his daughter's marriage.
though the people r friendly at the same time there exist some fanatics who talk about blowing up other countries which is not the general perception of the public at large but is opinion of the
ruling junta.the americans just want to take over the oil and gas reserves of iran and after what we have seen in iraq the government of iran should cooperate with the european union and find a peacefull way of ending the nuclear crisis.but u cant blame the iranians as neighbouring countries like india ,pakistan, china, israel all have nukes.

You're a good man and you Iranian people are good. But you guys did a very big mistake. You elected a Joker to be your President & he's gonna ruin you to be in power by pleasing his Cleric bosses.
Good Luck Brother, God Bless You

I think that if the Iranian people love peace they need to depose their lunatic president who denies the Holocaust, wastes your wealth on trying to obtain nuclear weapons, and constantly threatens to wipe Israel off the face of the earth.

r u male or female?

The reason why I ask is because I believe in the women's movement.. and from what I understand, Iran is a male dominant country...

From the Iranians that I have met so far in my life, I feel that they are very quiet and soft spoken people.... and great cooks! lol
