No...but if the other person feels the same way and you are old enough and financial then you should hop the first bus/train/plane to meet them in person to see if it really could work or not. The feelings you get from the words ppl write on here can be way different to how it is when you meet in real life (IRL) and suddenly run out of conversation or find you really have little in common, or they have habits that you couldn't live with.
I became engaged to someone I met online without ever meeting him IRL . He lived in another country and although we believed we were wildly in love, we wasted a year of time, energy, and money (phone calls) only to have his career take off and him have no time for this fine romance anymore. I also think because we hadn't met in all that time, he got cold feet and worried what we were setting ourselves up for when we did finally meet. I can't blame him.
Oddly, after that breakup, a guy I had been chatting with for just as long (no romance or feelings just friends), met me for coffee almost a year after we had been chatting online. We have now been married for six years and have three kids.

Sure. It's actually easier to fall in love this way as you have no preconceived opinions about the person. As you chat you get to know the persons personality, character, etc.

As in time this is more important that looks, its highly likely that a lot of people have done so already in chat-rooms and the like.

Of course some people are seriously disappointed once they actually meet, but that's life for you. ;o)

I don't think theres such a thing as loving someone you haven't met? Doubts may cloud your mind. If you do, uncertainties may at times crop up. Is he/she really in love? Isn't it that we are told to be wary about strangers? No relationship from the start ever had gotten their way through correspondence as chatting or talking lest it is physically manifested.

i have spoken to someone on the phone without seeing them and really liked the sound of their voice and their personality and though they were not the most gorgeous guy in the world i fell for him, but i dont think it was love. I think maybe infatuation or lust. Though if there is love at first sight why not love at first chat?

ya it happens, the chemistry actually starts running and the two start sharing strong feelings even without seeing or meeting each other in person, the urge to reach out and touch and beyond emerges and you start spending more n more possible time with each other finally meeting with so much of hidden luv n emotions that most of the time it works
...'ve a gud day...
