Ever since I was a kid I was always fascinated with the Amityville case.I am now 36 years old and it still fascinates me . I am not one to believe in the supernatural .But, that house and everything it represents and all the stories that have been told just gives me the creeps. I would like to know what everyone else thinks.

Yes, I think it is really scary horror movie since I was a child. I used to wisel or imitate the children's singing in this movie (la la la) n I still remember it. I am really enjoyed when I bought the DVD of the very 1st (amityville horror) version, it is a 2 DVD colllection. It analyses how people think about the whole story whether it is a hoax or a true story. In the DVD, they actually interviewed the people who ever lived in that house. I think I believe it is a true story instead of someone made a story to make money, coz I feel the creep and the residual terror in the eyes of the victims when they were interviewed a few decades after. However, I reckon the latest version of amityville is not as good as I expected.

I hate scary movies..why it scares me. I'm too scared to watch Amityville because that's based on a true story. I use to be scared of The Poltergeist movie.

It's funny you mentioned the windows because that my most vivid memory from the story/movie! The windows LOOK evil!!

There was a house in my neighborhood with the same windows. We ran by it. Yessssssss! totally creepy.
