These people feel insecure about themselves and try to make themselves feel better by putting down others. There are also people who interfere in anothers life because they feel that anyone different from themselves must be made to be more like them. The fact is, people will always be resentful of those who are different, because of fear, which is generated from ignorance. Or because they're just plain jealous. Just be happy in who you are, because you are the only person you've got to live for.

hi there, Im a skinny girl and have been all my life. To top it off i am also 5'8 so i look even more skinnier than i am. {im 8 stone}
i allways get people saying 'dont you eat', 'you look like the wind will take you away', 'are you anorexic'. these comments are so annoying, the answer to these is i am what I am. no one really has a choice over our body shapes. yeah we can help it but its not our choice. can the man with the small penis grow a bigger one just cos he wants to??? NO!! So leave us alone its just the way we are!!

The issue isn't thick or thin, it's healthy or unhealthy. A marathon runner will doubtlessly be rail thin, and a woman who plays hockey will bulk up. If you're physically fit, then don't worry about your size. (Challenge them to a running race and laugh at them while they're wheezing.)
And by the way, it's "slim", not "skinny". Skinny is a negative word. (A skinny book is lacking in detail. A slim book is concisely written.)

I'm petite, but probably not skinny, although I did use to suffer from bulemia and it was the worst thing. People telling you to eat more when you have something like that is so hurtful, you feel so powerless. But when you're naturally skinny, it sucks because it's so annoying. I think people should just mind their own damn buisness.

I am 48 and have had this problem most of my life. My mom who is a big woman would make fun of me. She still does. I have learned to deal with it and like myself. It took me a long time to be able to do this. It is very painful but most people think skinny people don't have feelings.

I get that too.People tell me to eat more.... It is low self-esteem. The fatter people see what they want to look like in the thinner people. They are jealous. Instead of seeing a thinner person and thinking "Wow, that makes me want to look better too" they are usually thinking "Must be anorexia" That way they don't have to confront their own FATNESS and lack of self-control. They want to make every skinny person like them so that they can feel less disgusting. You should be proud to be thinner. I think it is GREAT!!!!!!
