I've never heard of anything called Great Yarmouth, but there is a place called Yarmouth in Nova Scotia. It is right at the tip of the peninsula and across from Maine. In fact there used to be a ferry service connecting the State and the Province [can't remember the name of the city in Maine].

The river Yare is the boundary between Norfolk and Suffolk counties. The mouth of the river is Yarmouth. Great Yarmouth is the city to the north of the river (in Norfolk) and Little Yarmouth is to the south (in Suffolk).
