For Video Editing you need Fastest Harddrive, Fastest processor and Ram, so this system is not ideal at present.

In a word: NO

I say this with a qualification. As it stands right now that system is not ideal for editing. The new intel macs don't have final cut available for them yet. (I could be mistaken I have not looked in the last few weeks, but as of last month it was not.), and the older G4's did not have the power to do realtime editing that is needed to be an effective editing machine.

That being said, if you are looking to do home videos, then that machine has more than enough power. (Make sure the harddrive is 7400 rpm, if it is not skip the upgrade and get a LaCie external fire wire drive instead.) If you need to edit on the run a lap top is the way to go, but if you want to really do some serious editing get a desktop G5. For around the same amount of money (Add about $500) you can get a serious professional editing workstation that will be alot faster.
