I have seen crocodiles trained and I assume alligators can be trained too.
I was at a croc farm in Thailand and they had the crocs trained very well. The crocs would open their mouth on commant and keep it open. Then the trainers would put their head in. They can close their mouths on command as well.
They can stay or go to a certain spot, with a treat reinforcement though. They also allowed the handlers to "play" with them, wrestle with them and drag them around wuthout being aggressive. It was very cool.

You can teach them basic things, but you can't really train them to do things like a dog can. Their natural instincts are too strong, although I suppose you could make them jump out of the water and things like that because they do that in the everglades.

I believe most reptiles are dump animals. They don't have the brain of large mammals.
