Well I know I do, but some men are like it too - I think it's a rather sweeping generalisation to say that just women do!

sometimes. Maybe it's because women do actually get up in the morning and are still tired but men stay in bed later! I know I am often still tired for a few hours after I wake up but then I am awake at 7am to get the boys dressed and get the oldest to school and I'm out the house by 8.15. My partner gets up closer to the afternoon when he's home! So he's not tired when he wakes up cos he's actually awake before he has to get up. If you know what I mean. And he still takes twice as long as me to do anything once he is up.
The latest I am up is 7.30, that's after my alarm going off at 7. My partner however, could set his alarm for any time and still noit get up until 2 hours after!

I think it's moronic that you extrapolate the behavior of a single woman to my entire gender. Your generalization says more about you than it does about the fairer sex.

I'm a mom, and it just so happens I'm out of bed and across the room at the first call of my kid, and I can get us BOTH out the door in the morning, (and fed, too, no less) in 20 minutes flat when the occasion calls for it.

Don't agree at all. It takes me forever to get going in the morning myself, and I'm a guy. So it's not just a woman thing. It's a human thing.

Nope every morning I wake up suddenly with a gasp of air. It like a light switch being turned on. It's the make-up which slows me up to the never-ending dismay of my dad

I really don't like getting up early...I will if I have to but I won't like it!
I'm a night person not a morning person...it really sucks when I have basketball work-outs at 9:30 and I have to get up @ 7:00...it's summer!

(we girls need our beauty sleep!!j/k)

My sister bounces out of bed talking and ready to go. She gets up already in gear.

Not necessarily. It depends on the individual person and her physical condition, which includes the rate of heart beat, the blood sugar and her overall energy level.

Not at all...I awaken immediately...and I am UP! Tho, I prefer a little time to putz around and watch the news and read, or write......it is rare that it takes me a groggy morn in which to awaken.

That happens to me, but not to all women. There is something about having a low blood pressure and low blood sugar before breakfast and coffee.

When I'm awake, I'm awake, I can't just stay in bed. I HATE to be woken up though, and I'm the most horrible cow first thing in the morning, but I get up and get on.
