For Canadians: which is more scandalous? Sponsorship or the Gun Registry?

The real scandal is Stephen Hitler and his mob of jack-booted thugs doing everything he can to destroy this beautiful country. Fortunately he will be out of power soon. Not soon enough.....but soon.

(By the way, it's not the gun registry that needs to be eliminated. GUNS need to be eliminated.)

The sponsership scandal was more scandalous because it was fraud, a criminal offence which was deliberate ending up in people being charged under the criminal code of Canada.

The gun registry, however was not criminal in the legal sense, it was just a matter of being poorly conceived, running in cost overruns from the get go, and like alot of government projects money seems to be in an abundant supply. And as alot of people believe the registry was not needed for any weapons other than a hand gun registry

The sponsorship scandal would be classified as the worst in my opinion. The people caught (Guite et al) were only the tip of the iceburg, and their actions were illegal. I am quite confident that there are many more acting in this manner who haven't been caught.

Last week in MacLeans, they ran a story about the exhorbitant amounts that the public servants, specifically, elected officials spend on travel and expenses...quite enlightening.

On the other hand, the Gun Registry has cost billions, has proven to be worhtless, yet is not illegal, just plain stupid.

The gun registry was a scandal but it was well intentioned.
The sponsorship affair was truly scandalous. It was underhanded and they knew they were doing wrong. They both cost us money but that's not the most important thing.

I don't vote for either the liberal or whatever we call the former conservative party anymore.
