I don't think women should be required to lift more than around 30 lbs-the size of a 2-3 year old.

I didn't know therre was one, what country are you from? If there was a legal limit, I bet I broke all records! It is probably the job requirements, what ever is on the contract when signing for acceptance for the job.

iF I CAN REMEMBER AND IT MIGHT OF CHANGED SINCE I WORKED....I believe it was 35-40lbs. But the women were lifting,50-60lbs.Let me tell you after lifting that weight for almost 10yrs.it tears your body up.Thats why i can no longer work.It did a number on my hands,arms,neck,back and my spine...So never lift anything over the limit......Be careful PLEASE.....

Under UK Health and Safety guidlines it is 17kg for a woman and 25kg for a man

in Australia it is 16 Kg in the workplace
maybe 18Kg
