Well, maybe citizens of India are traveling more now that more call center jobs and other industries have been revitalized with international ties with the United States. I met a family in Arizona who still had the mother-in-law living with them, although in other respects they were very modern. I was told that there are more Christians living there now, and even though this particular family is Hindu, they enjoyed listening to Christmas carols. It may be that the religious atmosphere is more open to variety than it was in the past. Whereas India used to be part of the British empire, perhaps now with all the American companies hiring employees over there - along with technical and computer prowess - you might find reasons to say India is creating its own empire, with American businessmen's help. That's just a theory, but it would be something you could research. Have a happy day!

You need to speak to your teacher and get specifics on what he/she is looking for. I don't understand the type of project a English class may have for HISTORY of India. Unless the teacher is looking for the English influence on India.

not everything is about America!!! India hasnt changed just because americans have business ties there!!!! Grow UP! India hasnt changed much, i think, just become a bit modern but their problems are the same ie:overpopulation and starvation. Maybe america should help with that!!!

You could start with why India today has so much english influence, or how underneath it all there hasn't been much change..... and use your thesaurus.
