what is a technical term for glass type of LCD monitor?

there are 2 type of LCD monitors

1. screen feels like plastic
2 screen feels like glass

what is a technical term for it? how do i distinguish one from another.. please HELP

TFT LCD (Thin Film Transistor Liquid Crystal Display) is the glass one and LCD is just Liquid Crystal Display

How about just "LCD glass?" If it's really made of plastic, it's called plastic of polymeric.
