Need- the needs of others, the concerns of others. I read the question and thought "mmm... what does concern me right me right now?" And i flicked down through some of the good folks right now who are suffering or have someone who is and i realized. My life is good, i have health and the "problems" i face are trivial. Their problems are now mine as i realize this point coz i feel humbled by their suffering and my life gets better perspective and appreciation.

RACISM because the whole thing everywhere is such a lie. I know because I'm on the receiving end of it and I can clearly see the lies. Unfortunately the people doing it have been conditioned to do it. ( It makes money for others if we can be conned into buying our own country's produce etc. Remember we are part of a world economy and if we don't buy their produce it won't be long before they won't buy ours) Only one small example but I think it's relevant. Of course the direct and nasty "in your face" stuff is very unpleasant, even when you know what's said is not true. (And don't people make themselves look ugly when they're putting other people down?)

I am concerned that I seem to have so little control over myself. I find motivating myself next to impossible, and this frightens me. I'd like to be concerned about human rights. I'd like to be concerned about pollution and global warming. I'd like to be concerned about war and hunger and disease and poverty. Hell, I'd like to be concerned about getting a job. But I can't concern myself with any of that until I can figure out why I don't feel moved to actually get up and do something about it all.

My mother is dying of cancer. She's getting worse by the day. That's what's concerning me most right now.

How to get a scholarship. I really do want one, but there aren't any available which I am eligible for. I have recieved quite a few good Offers (from UK univs.) but don't know how to arrange the finance (at least get a good discount or reduction in the total expenses).
The last option would be a loan which I really don't want to go into.

My grandfather being in a nursing home with Alzheimer's and begging me to take him home with me- I can't he is in the later stages, and I cannot care for him. I feel like I have let him down, and that I am not taking care of him like I wish I could. I do see him everyday, but that is not what he wants, he wants out of there. It breaks my heart everyday. I leave there, and cry all the way home.

Uhh...How about the fact that so many warheads exist right now that if they all exploded at once, the entire earth would be destroyed......NINE TIMES. It kinda makes worrying about peers and "the scene" a bit trivial.
