Susan, try not to worry. You sound very anxious. This is understandable, but you will get through this fine.
The progress after the op will depend on your age and general fitness before the op. The thing to remember is to be very gentle. Whatever you do, bear that in mind. Be gentle withthe exercise - don't overdo it. Be gentle with yourself.
It is important for you to feel supported. If you have a partner, tell him or her that you will need some special care to help you through. Also, ask your family and friends. You don't have to go into detail if you don't want to. Just tell them you are feeling worried about something.
Relaxation can be very helpful. Try a relaxation class, or just lie quietly for a while in a safe place with your favourite music. Even if just for ten minutes before you go to sleep, this will help.
Choose an exercise that you enjoy, and remember that one of the best ways to keep the weight down is just doing the housework, something all of us have to do anyway!!
Put yourself first sometimes, and take care of yourself. Sending you supportive thoughts.

I don't know if your doctor has warned you that in having a, Radical Hysterectomy, this will throw you straight into menopause, so you may want to look into what natural foods you can take to help alleviate the symptoms of menopause.

stay off your feet a few weeks after the surgery. you may put on a few pounds after surgery, but this is caused by an upset of hormone balance in your body. it souldnt be a problem. you will be on hormones for a long time, so be prepared. and RELAX! hysterectomies are a routine thing. you will be fine. trust me.

you can expect a big change in your life.
There is no particular way to prepare your body other than by normal healthy guidelines such as reducing your intake of sweet food and saturated fat.
