i've read god of small things more than once and i think its brilliant. in my opion the storyline is not much to speak about, but the way the story has been presented and the depth of the language used is amazing. the descriptions and the details of places, things and people are so good...it feels like you are a part of it.

I hated that book.I've read better ones by other authors who haven't got that much credit.I tried to read this book from the beginning-from the middle-the end. After some while she always writes something revolting or obscene.

I loved it! So emotion provoking. Every time I hear the phrase, 'Later' (Lay-ter) or hear someone mention Nehi pop, I think of this book. Amazing.
