This is an online friendship/relationship. I've known the guy a while now and he's totally fell madly in love with me I mean hardcore. He wants to meet, get married the entire thing. He's one of the most amazing guys I have ever had the chance of meeting. He makes me feel like no other guy has. But I cannot seem to get the same feelings towards him. I mean I like him, and I could fall in love with him, but I kinda like another guy more. This started out as a friendship, I didnt lead him on, he just fell in love with me. He's very emotional, gets hurt really easy only because he has such a huge loving heart. How can I tell him I can't be with him and not hurt him really bad? :( My heart just breaks at the thought of hurting him. Normally I wouldnt ask such a personal question on here, but I have no other ideas.

hmm thank you honestanswer that was helpful. I'm 25 actually. I don't look for guys online. I am a webdesigner and pc graphics designer and work full-time for the state. I spend a lot of time online and have a lot of friends. I don't look for it, but life happens. Thanks everyone for your help.

You just gotta tell him what you just said, there's no other way around it.

Yeah, if he doesn't know who you are or where you live then simply change online status and let him search for his lost love,,,which we both know he will eventually find,,,at least in his own mind.....If he knows who you are and where you live, then you need to teach him not to fall in love with someone who isn't falling in love with him at the same time. It sounds like you are more emotionally mature than he is. This is okay but it will be painful for him.

Here is a tip:

Focus on the guy you like better and tell him about your guy instead of focusing on him in a sympethetic way because that would only make him feel pitiful. You could also tell him you are not ready for marriage and the guy you like is more compatable for you right now and that timing is a big deal and you would choose him if you were ready. You could even string him along until he gets the idea and he might even decide for himself that you and him have different needs.
