While I'm modeling I change my nail color often, usually to match whatever I'm wearing. I like opalescent colors, especially BabyPink and Pool (a soft lightblue). I recommend any of the new OPI shades, which are what lots of girls I'm modeling with, including myself, use. Their polish is really good. I also recommend using their base coats, which will strengthen your nails, and their topcoats, to prevent breakage or bubbling in your nailpolish. If you like bright colors I would go with a metallic orange, bright blue, red, or hot pink. If you like subdued shades, soft pinks, purples, blues, and greens are all hot right now. If all else fails, pick your favorite color and buy several polishes in that hue. Whats hot right now is what you like, as long as it isn't flaking off or fading out badly, it should be fine.

yea im a teen too and i think that the hottest trends for this summer are to get french tipped and then get them lined with a neon color (like pink or lime green) this makes your nails look classy but still have that hot trend factor. Its also cute to get original designs from the place that you get your nails done at. Purple and green are going to be really hot this summer. I recently got my nails done with a purple base, then had half of the nail painted lime green and a pink stripe down the middle. Everyone asked where I got my nails done because they were SO cute. Glitter is okay for some nails but its not going to be the hottest trend this summer. I definately think that bright colors are the hottest trend for this summer. Im going in to get my nails done tomorrow and I'm going to get bright purple with a yellow design! be bold!

Everyone wants nails to be proud of so if yours are less than perfect here are a few quick tips to get them in great condition in no time.
# Apply nail varnish remover before doing your nails even if don’t need to remove any old polish, it prepares the nails by removing any grease so that your polish will last longer
# If you’re having trouble achieving the perfect French Manicure try using a white nail pencil underneath the nail tip instead of white polish you’ll find it’s much easier
# Give your nail varnish plenty of time for each layer to dry to ensure a lasting finish. If you’re likely to get impatient waiting around opt for a quick drying formula like Lancome Vernis Instant Magnetic or L’Oreal Jet Set
# Always wipe the top of the nail varnish bottle with a cotton bud to get rid of any excess polish, this will prevent the bottle from becoming glued shut
# Lots of beauty companies have nail polishes available with matching lip colour for whose seeking a totally co-ordinated look, ask at your local beauty counter
# Remember it’s much better to apply lots of thin coats of colour rather that one thick one, it will dry quicker and last longer
# Try not to remove and reapply polish more than once or twice a week, as it will dry out your nails. Choosing a remover with built in moisturisers will help limit the damage
# A hand massage will boost your circulation and encourage nail growth and is the perfect way to pamper yourself.

You should try a lighter color. You don't want anything to cheesy like hot pink on lime green. Try something with a little sparkle in it. Like a light pink with a little sparkle or silver. I think that would look good.

French Manicures, reds and pinks are always in. If you like other colors...go with them...have fun and express yourself.
When you polish you want to use a base coat, 2 coats of color and a top coat. (total of 4 coats of polish).

Sally Hansen's Opalescents are the line to use this summer. For the fall, Rimmel has some great colours.
