we've been to some doctors but they just prescribed drugs and my husbands condition is still the same. sometimes he couldn't sleep because of the pain and he is relieved when he puts a hot water bag on his chest.

he needs to seek medical advice- I don't want to scare you but my brother was a painter and decorator, and worked his socks off- he died age 50 of stomach cancer. Although no one said it was paint or chemicals, I often wonder if there were hidden dangers in the stuff he was exposed to every day.
So, tell him to get it checked!
Hope its nothing serious!

It is possible that the paint fumes, or the fumes in the places in which he paints, causes irritation in his lungs. It could be the constant exposure to the chemicals from the paint. He may also have some other condition that has been aggravated by the fumes, especially if he is a smoker of any substance. It is important to be checked out by a doctor for a proper diagnosis. It could be something simple, or something serious and life threatening.

It could be one or more things; pulled muscles, pinched nerve, ogygen problem (should have heart checked if chiropractor doesn't fix it.). I would make him an appointment to make sure why. Could he be allergic to a new paint or inhaling too many fumes? That could do it.

i agree with myr...fumes from paint can play in big factor in chest pains..with poor ventilation...and yes ...he must seek medical attention asap...heart problems are nothing to play with.
