Okay, someone asked me this question and I can't really figure out a good way to answer her. What does everyone think?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 6 weeks or so. He says he's not sure where to move forward in our relationship or not, because he is considering moving to another state. At first he asked if I would go with him, and I said no. Now I want to go, but because I live with my Mum, he says he doesn't want to separate me from her. He said my Mum needs me. My father died 4 and a half years ago. I am the only child living at home. My boyfriend has a sick father, and he doesn't want to leave his Mum behind either, as she needs his support. But he said he's so unhappy living in the state we live in, and wants to move back to the state he used to live in. He said he would have a better life there, the way he used to. I want to go with him, but it's not that simple, as you could imagine. What do I do?

Well first of all, 6 weeks is not a long time to be with someone. You don't really even know how well you two will continue to get along. Sometimes things change, people change, relationships change. Who is going to support you? And don't count on him to do that because even if he did, you would be giving up total control to someone else. I know when relationships are peaches and cream, it can be wonderful, but sometimes they can make a turn that's not so great. You seem young and for that reason as well, you should stay put.

Long distance relationships suck. Don't do it. 6 weeks is not long enough to get to know someone. I am sure you can find love where you are located.

wait until you find someone who wants to be with you and then you will have a commitment and will not feel bad about leaving.
